At Arrahman Community and Educational Trust (ACET), we understand that the loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult moments a family can face. Our role as a community charity is to stand together in these times, offering both practical support and financial relief, guided by Islamic values of compassion, solidarity, and mutual responsibility.

All funeral services, eligibility, arrangements, and the level of support provided by Arrahman Community and Educational Trust (ACET) are governed by the official “Membership Terms of Arrahman Community and Educational Trust”.
The type of service and assistance offered may vary depending on circumstances, including where the deceased passed away (within the UK or abroad). Members are strongly advised to review the Membership Terms for full details.

Important Update: Funeral Services Are Now Covered Through Membership
Arrahman Community and Educational Trust has introduced a new unified membership scheme, which replaces the previous funeral fund arrangement.
Under the new structure, funeral services are no longer managed through a separate funeral fund. Instead, they are fully covered as part of the Trust’s monthly membership fee, alongside all other services offered by the Charity.
How the New Funeral Support Works
Membership Requirement
All individuals aged 18 and above are required to become members Monthly membership fee: £10 per person This single fee covers all services provided by ACET, including funeral support
Funeral Coverage Included
In the unfortunate event of death: i.Funeral expenses of a registered member are covered. Funeral expenses of a member’s child under the age of 18 are also covered. Support is provided in line with Islamic funeral practices. This ensures families are not burdened with unexpected costs during a time of grief.
What the Funeral Support May Include
Depending on individual circumstances, support may include: Coverage of essential funeral-related costs Guidance and coordination with funeral service providers Assistance with burial arrangements Support to ensure Islamic rites are observed correctly. Our aim is to ensure dignity, care, and community support at every stage.
Why Membership Is Essential
The membership system is based on shared responsibility (Ta’awun). By becoming a member: You protect yourself and your family from sudden funeral expenses. You contribute to a sustainable community support system. You help ACET continue delivering religious, educational, and welfare services. You ensure fairness and transparency for all members. Important: Funeral costs are only covered for active, registered members. Individuals who are not members are not eligible for funeral funding through the Trust.

We acknowledge that many community members were part of the previous funeral fund. Please note: The old funeral fund has been discontinued Funeral support is now provided exclusively through membership A single monthly fee applies to all adult members The system is simpler, fairer, and more sustainable long-term
